Hi

I am trying to set security to a partition in the hard driove to limit the access to the addministrative group and a tech group. I also want to secure the other partition to just the administrator and client group. This well easy enough to do in Win2K but XP Pro does not have the security tab. So my question is how to acheive my security goals?

TIA

Dave

Control Panel, Folder Options, View, uncheck 'Use simple file sharing - recommended.'

In the interest of completeness:

. The Security Tab is not available in Home without tricks, or using Safe Mode;

. The Security Tab only appears for NTFS filestores;

. For XP Pro, you need to disable the use of "Simple file sharing."

Thank you for the tip. I just couldn't find the Security tab and it was driving me nuts.

Thanks

Dave
