Hello all.

I'm having some difficulties to configure mail.
What I want is to configure the sendmail to send mails to other our corporate mail server adresses, but I have no idea which files to configure!!

Does anyone can give me some lights on this matter.

I'm using on the host solaris 2.6.

Thank you in advance,
Hugo Novo

first you have to setup DNS in this network, the MX of your host should point to the mailhost you want to send mail to.
your hosts entry in /etc/hosts should look like this:
Code:
ip.ip.ip.ip yourhostname yourhostname.yourdomainname.pl

copy subsidiary.cf to sendmail.cf and start sendmail daemon, this should work...

Hello Franz.

I'm my network I have no Mail Server entry on DNS. The only informatio I have on the Mail Server is the IP address.

In witch entry of sendmail.cf should I put the Mail Server IP Address.

sendmail will ask DNS, you do not need to enter a MX in sendmail.cf
