Hey everyone,

I'm seeing a weird message that I was hoping someone elaborate one what it is. I see it from the Montior...

2437mS PRN: DSPhoneIO::DidNotGetExpectedIdentMessage id=29

Anyone know what that means?

Also, we don't get busy signals with our PRI, it just drops the call. Could this be related? I have checked the "Local Busy Tone" box in the Telephony tab, but we still don't get busy signals?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I don't know what the message means but for your PRI issue: What release are you running? If it is a newer release what shortcode do you use to go to the ARS and what shortcodes are in the ARS for the calls you are making that just drop the calls. Is it on local and LD calls?

I'm running 3.2.

It happens on both local and LD calls. If I watch the monitor, it gets the message from the provider that the line is busy. Same thing happens for calls that are dialed incorrectly or disconnected. If I route the call out through a trunk line, everything works fine....

Not really sure what you mean my ARS...

ARS is in R4.0 and higher.
how do people access your lines? by dialing 9 as a line access code then the number?
if yes then do you give them secondary dial tone with a shortcode?
Code: 9
Feature: Secondary Dial Tone
Telephone Number: . (just a dot)
then the shortcode for dialing locally
Code: [9]xxxxxxxxxx (10 times x if you have 10 digit dialing otherwise only 7)
Feature: Dial
Line Group ID: whatever your line group ID is

for LD calls just insert a 1 in fron of the xxx but then you have to be careful that you might add another shortcode to block 1-900 calls
