Hi,

I wonder could anyone tell me what i can do about an error I am gettin when I link a table from excel to access. The records contain numbers and become sort of corrupt when the linking is executed.I an getting #Num! in my tables instead of the numers I entered in Excel.

Thanks in advance'

Thanks kathryn,

that got me around my problem but hasnt exactly solved it. #Num appeared when I left the first 8 rows of a field empty because there was no value for that particular record. Access defaults this to a text data type instead of the number I want so to get around it I entered a 0 in one of the empty records. This ,however , will skew any graphs I generate as 0 is a valid value in my data. Therein lies my subsequent trouble.

Thanks again for your time and help,
any more would be much appreciated

Damien
