Hi all,
I am new to Arcserve, recently just took over a Arcserve server from a remote site.

What actually done by Arcserve when it running a job name Database prune?

When each backup job runs an entry for the backup is written to an Arcserve internal database. In addition to this normally also holds an index list of the contents of the backup job.. ie: list of files / directories backed up..

The prune job basically removes old jobs from the arcserve database.

You should set this up to remove any jobs older than say 14 days or whatever your preference.
