Thank you for the reply! I think that my system is toast; I cannot get it to recognize the floppy drive or the HDD at all! When I run the dis syss it returns the FM00 unloaded notice and when I try to run the loa file it will not run the floppy, even when the floppy drive was replaced there is still no action on it! Tried another HDD too but with no luck at all! I have never heard of or tried the RES HD, FM00 command, only the RES IO,FMOO. Since I do not have my HDD at the moment I cannot try it but I will here around 8:00 am eastern time.
The whole thing started with what appeared to be a failure of the HDD, I couldn't run any commands at all nor could I view anything aside from the DIS SYSS COMMAND, I couldn't for instance display a particular extension or the forwarding of a particular extension etc. I could only log onto the system and view very basic system current status. Any idea as to what else to try with this? BTW it is a 9600VS. Thanks again for the reply and info, anything else you can recommend would be super appreciated!!

Losing the HDD on the VS is not a good thing. It will be hard to find a replacement at 40MB. The system will continue to function until the next power failure, but you won't be able to administer any changes, as you only have the data the is loaded into memory to work with. The RES HD command does not work on the VS, it's a US/ES command that was introduced about Rls 13. To see if your FM01 (floppy) even works you can try to read a disk using DIS FL,FM01. You might also try to clean the FDD with a 3.5 cleaning disk and the command CLN FDD
