What do I need to connect remotly, and see GUI? 1

What can I use to connect remotly to our Unix, and Linux servers and see a GUI to interact with as if I were at the console. I am connecting from a Win 2000 PC.

Just as I was reading your reply jmiturbe someone here metioned that. So it looks like vnc for me.

Hello,

VNC is a client-server architectureso you'll have to install both the server and the client. If you can't "touch" the Unix servers to install software, you can use Reflection X to connect from windows using X protocol that is used by default on Unix. The bad news are that it's not free.

HI,

You can use cygwin. Its FREE. I use cygwin to do remote X to my SUN box.
