What do I need to connect remotly, and see GUI? 1

What can I use to connect remotly to our Unix, and Linux servers and see a GUI to interact with as if I were at the console. I am connecting from a Win 2000 PC.

There are many comercial products there like Reflection X, citrix, tarantella, etc... But you should take a look at at&t's free vnc:

Hello,

VNC is a client-server architectureso you'll have to install both the server and the client. If you can't "touch" the Unix servers to install software, you can use Reflection X to connect from windows using X protocol that is used by default on Unix. The bad news are that it's not free.

You can also use Hummingbird Exceed. Very good but again not cheap.

You can use cygwin. Its FREE. I use cygwin to do remote X to my SUN box.
