Hello all.

We are trying to sort out integrating our kit to a setup where there are two sites.

Site 1 has a CS1000E (recently upgraded from Meridian 81C) and Contact Center 6 (CC6). Site 2 has a Meridian 81C and CC6.

I understand that we need to know if AST licences are in place and enabled for the specific devices (extensions) we wish to monitor.

Can anyone tell me what AST stands for?

How to check whether there are any installed and available.

Regards

Tinyl

AST = ASsociated Telephone (I believe). You can only program buttons 0 and/or 1 on any TN. Consequently, you can only monitor the first two keys on any one telset.

To view how many you have left, one way is to use the SLT prompt in LD 22:

Thats not entirely correct, you can have other than the first 2 keys as an AST entry. We monitor 0 and key 8 on 2216 sets, and 0 and 3 on 3904 sets.

From the NTP:

AST xx yy Associate Set Assignment for Meridian Link
applications
A maximum of two DN keys, xx and yy, can be
controlled by the host computer. Precede with X to
delete.

Thank you so much chaps.

My bad on the Key 0 and 1 info. John is correct -- they can be keys other than Key 0 or Key 1, but the limit is two keys per telset.
