I'm trying to upgrade frac T1 from 256 to 384 to the Internet using a Adtran Ace and a Contivity 1100. As I far as I know all I have to do is increase the channels in the ACE from 4 to 6 and increase the data rate on the WAN interface from 256000 to 384000. Is it really this simple or am i missing something?
If it is this simple, why after 3 attempts can I not get it to work? The ISP is saying everything is fine on their end, they can loop the smartjack and that the problem must be in my equipment. My router WAN status says that the link is up but the PPP is down. I see no indication of problems in the CSU.
Help I'm lost.
