hi,
anybody know what the name of the welcome screen file is? (the screen that's displayed with user names). is it a file that's displayed? if it is, what's the name of it? is there anyway it can be modified for a company's needs?

The welcome screen is a program (logonui.exe I think plus the image). There are sevral programs available that allow you to do that.

One I found on the web is Auslogics Visual Styler which seems to let you do lots of things.

the image file is what i'm looking for. any idea what the name of the image files?

To be honest, I can't remember, but logon.bmp or logon.sys may be the answer. They should be in //windows/system32 or that area.
