OK, I have about 7 DIDs that don't fit in the standard range (ours are 835x to 839x) -- Now I want to add seveval DIDs, say 4401 - 4406, to unused target lines. So I assign them to say Target lines 487 - 492; then assign them to the DN. BUSY.

Now if I assign the same incoming DIDs to say 273, it works fine. Whats the deal?

I have heard of people having problems with the upper Target Lines. Not really sure what caused or corrected it but maybe someone here can help. But just to let you know it is a known issue.

i was thinking about this .. maybe i should "enable" a fake station module in that range?

Are you testing the DDI numbers straight away. If the caller is on the phone you will have to wait until the handset comes free for the programing to take. I normally wait about 5 mins and try it.

its on an analog line and i am the only person using the system at the moment.

If it an analogue line why are you programming target lines. You would use the line number not a target line. If you have your GATM module conected on bus 7 then line 61 will be your first line 62 your second and so on. You would then assign that line to the extension, you would not use target lines in this scenario.

Im using a PRI -- its an analog extension rather. Using the ASM8 module on bus 2

Have you tried waiting a few mins to see if the programing takes. I have had this in the past where you think the programming is not setup correctly. You then check it and try setting it up again and really all you need to do is wait a few more mins for the programming to take effect.

no; but i will try it this evening! Thanks for the suggestion
