Weird merge problem

I have a Word merge template, that points to a MS Access query, that requires a Start and End date to be entered.

When running the merge it promps for the Start and End dates TWICE.

Running the query on its own within Access works fine.

Using MS Office 2000 (I know it's old but, hey)

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Brodie

Hi brodie,

I have no idea how to word this.

Might the Word doc merge fields link to the source directly, whilst the sourse, when cranked, executes the query? Could explain the double-dipping.

Be patient. An actual answer is sure to follow!

Good luck!
Don

I have since found that if I use a .doc instead of a .dot it promps just once.

Cheers,
Brodie
