Weird Macro Security Issue

Hi,

Lately I have been encountering problems where when a workbook is opened, the macros are automatically disabled, i.e., there is no prompt to enable/disable the macros. The macro security is already set to medium. Even when I set to Low, the macros are still disabled. The only temporary resolution so far is to keep re-opening that Excel file until the prompt appears on startup.

Is there any explanation for this weird situation, and also how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Russ

Hi Russ,

Ditto for me - we have the exact same problem, with no option of re-installing MS Office. Have also encountered this at other companies, and have no idea how to resolve the issue other than re-open it etc. Which is a pain as my users keep forgetting this and are raising support issues all the time!!!

If anyone has any other ideas as a way round it would love to hear them!!

Thanks
Victoria
