i have 2 locations

location a has a pri and all the hunt group programming

location b has a huntgroup (programmed in location a) that is supposed to go to a night service (also programmed in location a) when the hg is made out of service.

I programmed these buttons in location b months ago and it had been working perfectly until today

all of a sudden non of the out of service buttons actually make the hg out of service.

the only thing that happened recently was location a was rebooted. besides that nothing.

they can still 4 digit dial across the scn.

i can put the hg out of service through manager but that is it. I tried reprogramming the button and rebuilding the hg but nothing,.

any ideas

Are the extensions that want to set the group out of service members of the Hunt Group?

I have had instances where when a user is not a member of a hunt group, the user cannot affect the service modes using the pre-programmed button, as compared to the shortcode. I just always put them in if they need to change the service mode, and disable them in the User List if necessary so they do not ring.

i do not believe that is the case here... i am scheduling a reboot for this evening, any other ideas would be much appreciated

Why is the group for location b programmed in location a???
You can program it in b and turn on advertising.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

i have it programmed in a with advertising on... is there a difference?

either way i rebooted the system and it is working properly now

curious as to why this happened though so i can prevent it from happening again

I found that if you I reboot one system in SCN sometimes another system stops receiving updates from it. So I made a rule for myself that if I need to reboot system in SCN and i reboot all together
