Weird intermittent issue with incoming calls

Customer called in explaining that they are intermittently experiencing an issue with incoming calls to their DIDs. Apparently, about 5 times a day (increased since the past 30 day) a caller calls in and the phone doesn't ring at the desk (no audible ringing) then it goes into voicemail for that user. The user notices the vm light lit up and wonders why they have a message when their phone didn't ring. The customer said this is happening to a few users, but was only able to give me 2 extension its happening to. Does anyone know whats going on here??? how long does it ring for before going to voicemail?

you are going to need monitor traces.

reboot the switch. could be line related..... rebooting the switch will resync the trunk card with the isdn.....
