I will be installing a new server at a customer's location with SBS2003 soon, and because i am new to SBS2003, i decided to setup a pilot to get accustomed to SBS2003.
Well It installed fine, updates went fine, but...
The installation is brand new from scratch, and the very first time i went into the group policies to edit one of them, i got the following error (my installation is in dutch and as so the error is in dutch, but will do my best to translate):
"the following text in section [strings] is too long and has been truncated"
followed by the text that has been truncated. every time i want to edit a GPO it gives me this error about 10 times, and after that i can edit the GPO, no problem. But it does suck that this error appears 10 times, every time.
Now i have noticed that the truncated text is the actual description of a certain GP rule, so the problem is that some of the descriptions are simply too long.
Has anybody else had this problem, and is there a simple solution to this? I am contemplating calling microsoft about this, i think it's a fundamental translation problem in the dutch version, as the installation is a brand new "standard" installation.
But any help will be appreciated.
