Weird Element Manager on BCM 1.0

Came across a strange issue yesterday with a 1.0 BCM 50. When trying to download element manager to my laptop I could hit the 50 main page but it looked kinda different. It showed some of the usual info like always but it also showed a prompt at the bottom page stating launch without java or something along those lines with some other details. I use this laptop to talk to BCM's all the time so I know the java is good. Getting to the weird part, when I clicked on the launch with out java etc. it came back with a scroll type box that I've never seen before on any BCM? Old or new? All the apps to download were inside this box and I had to pick out EM from there to download it. I've prob. installed over a 100 BCM's and I've never seen that one before, very odd.

sounds like "application launcher"... which is the new main web page that changed beginning on a Rls 5. Are you sure its a Rls 1? Maybe it was a Rls 1 but was upgraded to a Rls 5 or 6.

Usually if you have an older release of Java it will give you that warning "to start without java" and will bring you to the older more familiar main web page. Sometimes your browser will prompt you to install the latest Java or you can do it manually, then application launcher will launch. Then you can load EM.
