My computer is Pentium II using windows 98 I recently open the box and try to adjust the memory, then all the sudden , by the next time i try to turn on again and it fails to turn on can't see anything on the monitor, and I keep hearing some loud beeping noise continuously beeping when I turn the computer on , but no active of the keyboard and mouse and nothing is gone thru except it stops ... right there! is the something wrong with the motherbroard or ???? please Help I am really appreciated... thanks in advance!

Memory is not seated properly. If you installed new RAM, take it out. If not, just take it out and put it back. If this doesn't work, post back the post code description.

i.e. one long beep, four short beeps, or nonstop continuous short beeps.

thanks for your fast reply, its nonstop continuous long beeps. Nothing is happen, except the fan is turning and the beep is beeping seems like it stops there does not recognized the c drive and go thru any step further,....? thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, that is RAM. RAM is loose, or in the wrong slot. If you added RAM, it may not be compatible.

I have this computer I used for more then 2 years now nothing happen until recently,,,,! but>>>. I try to put it in properly, and one by one... and then try difference slot, but still not working...??????

You may have damaged one of them, probably a static shock shorted one of the chips. How many pieces of RAM, what size are they? You might try just one in the first slot, and if that doesn't help, try another. Maybe its just one that is bad.
