Having problems accessing FTP sites from all PCs via Websweeper.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

Too late, Have been using Websweeper for nearly a year now. Only just haveing problems though with FTP on the client's PCs. Luckily it's not too urgent as yet as we only have 1 person who needs to access the site which we are doing for him. I'm totally confused though !!

Do you have the WEBsweeper server on a dmz?

You may have to look at your firewall rules to allow FTP through.

What is the error message that you are getting on the client machine?

Simon.

Firewall definitely needs to allow FTP

You should also check Tools, Internet Options, Connection, LAN Settings and ensure that all protocols are using your proxy (WebSweeper Box IP)

Hello Hick22,

Create a user file with that individual in it,an FTP folder to allow it. If any of your upstream scenarios block executables (several ways to do that) make them inactive for this folder. Right click on the FTP folder, go to Properties, add a route for the FTP user group, [add in a site zone restriction if you want to] that should look something like this:
FTPusers-- * [or prespecified zone] -- ANY

That ought to do it..
