WebMail Setup

I have created a new Exchange organization, Exchange Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 Active Directory. I am sending and receiving mail with no problem. I would like to enable WebMail capabilities and was under the impression that this was available by default by plugging the DNS entry into a web browser. Am I missing something?

Are you using NAT where the server has a private IP or is the server using a public IP address? If you are using NAT, you will need to forward port 443 to the ip of your server in order to access it from over the internet. You can try to access it using

http://servername/exchange

or try

http://ipaddress/exchange.

Thanks for the quick reply. When I plug in either the server name or ip/exchange, I am promted for my credentials, when I plug them in with the domain\username, or just the username and pword I get a 404 error.
