Our users having problems accessing their lotus webmail. When a user enters his username and password in webmail authentication screen, it returns back (authentication screen) asking for username and password again, rather than viewing the webmail interface.

But if you open lotus administrator and go to Server->Status->internet users, then we can see that particular user is logged in as webmail user.

Have you got any idea, why users can't view their webmail screen or why this authentication screen is coming back again and again after authentication?

We are running DOMINO 6.5.1

Have experienced similar for Internet Explorer a couple of times, do not remember EXACTLY what we changed, and I am assuming IE has been used here. We changed some settings under the security part under 'Advanced', it's just been to long to remember...

Have you tried several different browsers? I know it might sound silly, but for all our users out travelling we recommend to use Firefox or Opera instead, and number of browser related mail access problems is now close to - zero.

It is worth a try to see Opera and FireFox to see if it's the same syndroms then.
If same problems, then it is time to start digging down in the server settings in the Internet Protocols sections...

Then on the right hand you will see ‘Web SSO Configuration for LtpaToken’. If you can’t see it then press the up arrow key. Go in to it and edit DNS Domain entry as needed. Because this is the domain entry that domino server searches when it tries to open webmail. For example let’s say that your lotus server is “lotus01” and your domain is “abc.com”. Then DNS Domain entry has to be “.abc.com” and to access webmail, you have to type “
