Hi all,

I have 2 servers (A and B) with 4 Weblogic applications installed on them. The Apps 1 & 2 are installed on server A and apps 3 & 4 are installed on server B. The Weblogic admin server is setup on server A. I have observed that the config.xml on server A contains all the app configurations installed on server A and B. My question is is there any config file or copy on this config file stored on server B. I have read that if incase there is a failure on server A then the apps on server B will still function using the config file which is already being cached. If this senario is true then where is this config file is cached. Thx

Hi ,

Weblogic uses cluster wide JNDI tree to register the available services in the servers (A & B). Even if the service failed on server A , the replica aware stub with the client redirects the request to server B. Now the server B uses the JNDI Naming Service to locate the object of the registered service and completes the request.

regards,
Shiva
