I have an IPO Se R10.0.0.3 and was wondering if the weblm needs to be on a separate server or if it will run from the SE IP address. When I go to add a weblm server address it says it cannot be the same address as the IPO SE. What are the services running that state weblm on the web manager then?

Any idea why this is loaded when you install the SE OVA then?

WebLM is only supported as part of the Primary IP Office for now.
External WebLM is used for cloud based IPO (or Branch I think)

It should be a separate server or a VM." - 100% wrong. pkdev is correct with the official line.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

So how do I program it for the IP address of the weblm server? I log into the weblm webpage and try to add a server and it says I cannot use the same address as the primary server. I have look for a pdf or manual for the weblm programming but have had not luck with Avaya. I would like to use it on a virtual Linux SE R10.0.0.3 install but cannot seem to figure out how to set it up to install the license file.
Any help would be great.
Mike

Where are you setting this address? Out of the box the primary uses 127.0.0.1, (ie. itself) and the others use the address of the primary.

Not sure if I can add the snip-its to this but will try.

You install the license through Manager as usual.

You are using the native WebLM services on the primary server aren't you?

I looked in the documentation and agreed it's rubbish (ie. pretty well zero).

So I logged into the WebLM service on my primiary, got its host ID from Server Properties menu and got a license file to match that. Added the file through the Install license menu.

Back in IP Office Manager I on the Remote Server tab I changed the License Source to WebLM and everyyhing else was autofilled with defaults. Then reserved a few licenses and sent that back to the system with a reboot and all has been good. On the Licence tab, my old licenses from the PLDS XML file used when the licensing was Local are now listed as Obsolete, but the reserved licenses appear and back in WebLM I can see them being listed as Currently Used.

If I had a secondary server I suspect it would be just as easy, configure it for WebLM from the primary and reserve the licence it needs from the central pot.

I can't see the WebLM menus that you are trying to configure and can't find a way to provoke them. And I don't think they are needed if you are using the pre-installed primary server WebLM.

Sizbut How are you logging into the weblm service on your server?
