Does anyone know of a Live Business Gateway type of solution for Webex Connect IM?

I just learned that we have licenses for Webex Connect IM so this could be an alternative to MS Lync 2010.

Thanks

Ron

Don't think there would be anything.

Bummer.

It would be great if Mitel did work with Webex on this.

What is there market share. Despite Mitel having its own competing product the Microsoft juggernaut compels them to work with Lync. Not sure Webex has enough market share with the product you refer to that would interest them in doing anything.

webex connect requires Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.1.3 or a later version and the Cisco Unified Communications Integration plug-in for WebEx Connect IM.
cisco might create a sip gateway to integrate it with other systems than cisco in the future but as loopyloo already said there needs to be a market for it first.

Thanks

Sine Webex's market share will be tied into Cisco's Voip, it'll be pretty good.

you just said it, tied to cisco's voip not MITELs. Unless there is a demand for what you are asking for cisco is not going to do it. It will be a lot of R&D to integrate the CTI portion of WebEx with Mitel phones when there is no demand.
You can still use webex services without cisco ip phones. You just don't have it integrated with your phone system and get phone control and the associated features.

Mitel already dropped dual forking w/RCC support for MS Lync 2010.

I wonder what the future holds for MS and Mitel.

Thanks

Microsoft will plow on with their crap and it will be up to Mitel to keep pace if they want to being relavant in that market. For now the 3300 is certified for Lync so I would still go that way.
