WebClient Realtime Display Issue

Hello all,

My customer is unable to bring up the Agent Display in the Webclient. The windows will not come up. Furthermore when they are logged in as webadmin, the agent display comes up however there are only unknown agents.

A question or two- were they newly built, never having been activated or changes to existing?
 
I am pretty sure that it was a newly built system and it hasen't worked since then. What would be the difference if it were an upgraded system?
 
That's kinda strange- I must have fat-fingered something somehow. I thought I was replying to a question from
SCCSSPOC (TechnicalUser)about scripting!

You may have a DNS problem with the web client server. Make sure you can ping by computer name between the sccs and application server. The other part of your problem could be that multicasting is not enabled on the network. Set the displays up to use unicast and test. If it works then you know that you have a multicast issue.

I think it might be simpler than that...

OK as above you need to do the following on clients:

Install SOAP
Add the SWC address to the trusted site
in IE settings enable all activeX controls for the trusted site
Allow the trustedsite to accept all cookies
in the advance section of the IE settings select reuse windows

After all this is done you should be working smoothly

I've had this problem before when the Real-Time displays show only *UNKNOWN* in all of the display fields. What fixed it for me was changing/increasing the OAM settings in increments of 10K 'I believe' and re-starting the real-time reporting service. This is of course in the RTR settings. I hope this helps.
