Hi all,

I am looking for what used to be known as "Web View" in Windows Explorer, under Folder Options/General/Web View
This way of viewing the files allowed me to see a preview of the file I had selected, and since I deal with many image files this would be very useful.
Unfortunately "Web View" doesn't exist in XP or it has been relocated to another section of the OS, does anyone know where to find it?

Thanks in advance,

I have not found how you can view as web page in XP as you did in 98/98SE. That was dissapointing as it was to find that you cannot add a background to each folder. I do not like it when they get rid of features. I deal with Graphics a lot and there are two programs I could NOT do without. ACDSee and PicaView. They are WONDERFUL programs and can be evaluated for free...
(for ACDSee) and for PicaView:
These programs are worth every cent I paid...

Thank you kindly to both of you for your replies : )
I will try to get used to do without ACDSee for now, by following linney's advice, which is not "Web View", but it is the closest to it available in XP apparentely.
Either way, you both have saved me some valuable time : )

Have a great day,

Javier

I'm not certain this is what you are after, but.... I just installed XP in an effort to resolve BSOD's and slow death lock up's under W2K Pro. ( semi bleeding edge hardware ) I missed being able to see a thumbnail of photo's on the left side, what used to be called 'web view'.
If you go to a folder with pictures in it, right click in the middle of the file information area, then choose 'customize this folder'. This will take you to a menu where you can choose which type of folder you want. After that when I click once on a photo file I see it on the left side.
It doesn't work for Corel Draw files, as it did under W2K Pro, but it's a step in the right direction ( getting back to what actually was useful in W2K <g> )
