Hello,
My bosses PC has just had 6 new web shortcuts added to his desktop. Things like "Messenger Ad Killer" and "Popup Buster" etc - nothing offensive but definitely worrying as he swears he hasnt downloaded anything. What is the story with regard to browsing the web, can these things be aoutomatically added to your shortcut without any user action - ie just visiting a page? I download and install all the windows updates automatically so it shouldnt be a security issue....???! - he is using IE 6 and XP pro.
Nothing has been installed (I checked the add remove porgrams log).
Any help would be appreciated
Jason
