I am running W2k server and IIS 5 for an Intranet. I configured it using 2 internal IP addresses for multiple sites. All was working great for 2 months, then one site stopped working (page can not be displayed). I tried to recreate the site but that did not do it. I'm not sure what to try next. I rebuilt the site, took off all security temporarily to test, and still no go.

Any tips or help would be great

Thats what ive been using and it does not work. I can ping the server fine from all IP addresses

ok explain more please,

are you using host headers and DNS aliases or
the page cannot be displayed is fairly generic.

is it a 403, 404, 500 error

run iis5recyle its a tool that will clear out yr server deadlocks.

try this first...
go to applications tasks alt tab and delete dll.host

Thank you for your tip,

Running DLLHOST.EXE did nothing. Is there anything else anyone can think I can try to get this working?

I have the same Problem, so TRACEYMARYLAND (Programmer) i
I installed the iis5recycle, so is ok.
but when you said

try this first...
go to applications tasks alt tab and delete dll.host

have to delete this DLL or I have to run This DLL??

bye

If you found any solution let me know it.

I will look into this for I have no understanding of what all this means. I will read up a little before I give it a try. Ending DLLHOST.exe will that have any other effects on the system? Will I have to restart?

Thanks for the tips, I will let you know how it goes in the next couple of days.

Thanks again

Let me be informed about this pbl.
My IIS continue to stop at night.. I don't know why? Normally there are not too much connections at night (I use Logs). I put a Tracer IIS and it doesn't show me anythig "wrong" on uploads or downloads.

I have 20 asp sites working on my IIS, is too much???

I am monitoring my site by atwatch...(if you know it, it could be a problem with my IIS)

thanks a lot,

Did you post in the wrong thread?

20 sites shouldn't be a problem,
any AV running on the server ?

rogue script maybe.

Start a new thread rather than hijacking this one please.

I installed and have IIS5Recycle running since yesterday.

I noticed that 3 different dllhost.exe processes are running at the same time sometimes. Sometimes there is 1 DLLhost.exe and sometimes there are 2 or 3 at the same time.
Mem usage for DLLHOST.exe files
9,500k, 9,200k, 5,200k
