I am new to InDesign, have been creating web page wireframes in Visio and want to switch to ID.

Looking for web page size to use to create templates for web pages that would be 1024x768 minus chrome. I just want to draw a box on an 11x17 page so I can add notes in the margins, etc

1024x768 pixels converts to 10.67"x8" @96 dpi which seems too big and bigger yet @ 72dpi.

If anyone has a size they use or a template I would greatly appreciate it.

thx tim

1 point equals 1/72 of an inch.

So, for a 72 dpi image, 1 point = 1 pixel.

If you create a document 1024 x 768 points

Then export to jpg @ 72 dpi

Then your JPG will be 1024 x 768 pixels

Like wise

If you make a document that is 800 x 640 points

then the JPEG @ 72 dpi would be 800 x 640 pixels
