Web Counter in Flash - is it possible?

Hi

I want to create a relaly simply web counter in flash or html. I dont want to use images for the numbers, just simple text.

My site (actually it is just one page) is in Flash, is it possible to add a simple counter using Flash, or do I have to use something like CGI?

As I say, I dont want it to be fancy, all I want is a textual representation of how many visitors I have had to my site.

Any help very much appreciated.

Flash alone? No!
You need some server side scripting, to be able to store the cumulative number of visitors.
