Web Cam Newbie

Hi Folks,

I am going to try to set up a web cam on a PC in our conference room so that a remote worker can "video conference" in to a meeting. I have never used a web cam before and am only getting a lend of one for this purpose.

What do I have to do to get this set up. Obviously I install the web cam - but how do I go about transmitting the live feed from the camera to a remote user.

Remote user can connect into our Internal network via a VPN connection.

There are lots of software you can buy that is specific to video conferencing or...... you can use windows messanger which is free but if you are using this for work do a little research into messanger to see if the security risks associated with it would compromise the security of your network, i.e you can aslo tranfer files and viruses through messanger if you so choosed.
