i noticed that whatever browser i use (netscape 4/6/7, ie 4/5, opera 5), i seem to have a problem loading web pages that pull images from another site (like ebay, when pulling up an actual bid page); or just trying to load sites such as - they don't even come up. however i tweak the browser settings, i can never get the pictures/web page to pull up. (i have the flash/java plugins on all netscape versions). has anyone come across this type of problem, and any suggestions on how to fix it? thanks!

Strange. I know browsers allow you to turn off automatic image displaying but since you've tried so much tweaking it probably isn't the problem.

Do you get a specific error for the web-pages that don't come up at all?

Maybe you have DNS or firewall issues. Try an "nslookup and make sure the address is resolved. If so try and "ping and "telnet 80" (you should get a "Connected to ..." message). Also try the text based browser: "lynx

Correct. Did you try the "ping", the "telnet", & the "lynx"?

You may have a firewall issue.
