Are you kidding me? Web-based? Seriously man, good luck. I have yet to see a web-based application responsive and fast enough for this kind of work. And believe me, that is not for lack of trying...
True, but NetPOS does not meet the rest of his requirements: open source, unix, php, mysql.
I think you're out of luck. If you find one that offers any potential, please post what you find. Sorry...
