We have GroupWise 6 and use WebAccess to log in from outside the office. There are two persons who have logged in successfully from home previously but now cannot. Both users can log in if they use Explorer from here in the office. It is NOT a password problem.

One of the users brought in their laptop and we tried to do it from here. She gets to the login page and types in her name and password. She gets an error message that says her Login is not Current - Please Log in Again. From the logs it appears that she is actually logged in - it times her out at the end of the 20 minute period of no activity.

Both users are AOL users but we do have another AOL user without a problem. Lots of other users and using WebAccess without problems.

Any thoughts???

WebAccess will not work with AOL 7. Have your users go back to an earlier version or establish the connection with AOL, then open Internet Explorer to hit your mail server. I not experimented with AOL 8, but I DO know from personal experience that AOL 7 will exhibit the exact symptoms you're describing.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! I, of course, had asked the user if there was any updates but perhaps they did not remember. I will have the user give your solution a try.

This is now my favorite web site - lots of helpful, knowledgeable people!!

sorry to say, but AOL v5 and up messes up an awful lot of systems (50% +)
If a user MUST have AOL, it should be v4. v3 is too old, seems to be for win 3.1.

Also.
Groupwise cannot be used over the internet if the user has a blank password.
