We need to distribute a Multi-call ring group. The marketing manager wants to simultaneously ring 16 different phones. The calls will be arriving via DNIS. Once the call is answered by the first available employee, others should have the opportunity to answer any other following calls. Is there any way we can program a button to ring on everyone's phones?

Thanks for your help!

There a probably several ways to try to accomplish this, some easier than others.
If all of these users are in one area you might set up an extension that just has a bell or buzzer that they can all hear. Next setup a pickup group that they are all in. this way any of them can grab the call using the call pickup and you can even use analog phones if you want.

Thanks for your reply.
The problem is that not everyone will be able to hear the phone ring. Is there any way to provide a button for these 16 users

Thanks again,
Todd

1st. Add Pick-up group ## and assign all members extension that group.

2nd. Assign a call-pkup button on each of the members telephone that you assigned to the Pick-Up group.

3rd. Make the dnis a hunt group ext and assign all members of the pickup group to the hunt group and make hunt circ.

Call flow will function as follows:

Inbound dnis/hunt to next circ member - phone rings at that extension - all Pick-Up group members.

It sounds like you're looking for a coverage answer group. Type "add cov ans next". Add the phones to the group. Then "add cov pa next". Make the 1st coverage point "CX" where "X" is the number of the answer group you created. Assign the new coverage path to a dummy station built to match your DNIS and you should be done. All phones will ring, then after someone picks up, the call will dissappear from the other sets. -CL

Avaya1, the hunt group won't do it, that will only ring to one extension at a time, and if they cant hear it ring the pickup group does not help.

A terminating ext group can ring multiple phones, but you are restricted as to how many.

Depending on how large of an area you must cover, could you do it with several alerting devices? You can put several on a single port.

I must have been typing the same time you were.
What is the most stations you can have in a coverage answer group? I know it was 8, maybe more on more recent versions.

We had looked at the answer group, but it will only support eight stations. What we'll have to do is strategically place phones around room and configure the users to a call pickup group.

Thank you all!!
