WAVE file and volume controls

Hi!

I've searched the forums but can't seem to find an answer to my problem, so I'm hoping someone here can help me.

I've managed to find information on using the PlaySound API to play wave files from VB6, but what I'm trying to make is when I click a certain command button, it'll fade out the volume, stop the sound currently playing, restore the volume to full and then play the now sound.

I think I can work out how to stop and start the sounds easily enough, and the fading would be a simple "volume down loop", but I'm having trouble finding how to change the volume within VB.

On a side note, if anyone knows of a way to change the audio balande (Left Channel/Right Channel) I'd be most greatful too!
