Hi all,

I have installed an IP550 v2 6.1(5) system and the client wants to copy an wav file onto the system and play it whilst on hold. Were would i put the file on the SD Card?

Not. Only messages for the AA can be uploaded, all the other needs to be recorded by a phone.

Put it in the Pimary folder, if you call it holdmusic.wav then just set system music source to wav file. I think intigrant confused himself with queued announcments :)

P.s don't forget it's PCM, 8kHz 16-bit, mono, maximum length 90 seconds :)

thanks for all your help.

Do i need to go into the SD card and upload the file into there or can i do it through the LVM greeting facility?

the wav files will upload to the IPO via what ever TFTP server you set. each time the IPO reboots you will need to upload the files again.

Not when it is on the SD card darlin :)
That is only when it is not on a flash card that is insert in to the ipo.

When you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

We use the Avaya Magic-On-Hold device. This unit comes with an insertable usb stick which you can then place your music onto. We are using MP3's at 24 bit 44.1KHz. We have several albums ripped onto that stick and it works great.

i also had an issue loading the holdmusic.wav file on an IP500 v1 today. I was able to finally get it to take after making a secondary file, which it never even attempted to load just like the regular one, and then removing it and rebooting. really weird.

Is there no way i can record a .wav from the IPO handsets and use this WAV file for the hold music?

The system installed is IPO 6.1 (5) with embedded messaging.

Thanks

you can record one from VMPro and then rename it to holdmusic.wav i reckon
