Recently upgraded from 406 with R5 to IP500v2 with R9. Also upgraded VMPro to current release on the same PC.

When wav files are sent out to notify users of new voicemail, the e-mails arrive with the error message "This is a multi-part message in MIME format," and the file is converted to a text format. I found something in the Microsoft KB site stating that the error message means something is wrong with the format, but I cannot figure what will resolve this problem.

Thanks.

Basically all mail is send as plain text, your mail client converts any attachment to a textfile using "Base64" encryption and the mail is send as a MIME mail ( multiple part message ), the receivers mail client reads the header and will restore the text files back to it's original state.
So the text you see is actually the contents MIME header which 'should' be decrypted by your mail client.
I do not have a solution for you but my guess is that the mail is send in parts and not as one huge file, so the recipient receives the first part and the email client cannot decrypt the data as it is incomplete and it will show you the MIME message.
