Watchguard X700 Problem

Hello am Ismail,

I have a problem with my watchguard X700, the problem is that it is blocking some ports of a remote e-mail server thus preventing my e-mail server from being able to send e-mails to that remote server.

Please i need help on how to solve this problem

what ports are being blocked? can you give us some more information. how do you have SMTP service set up now?

Thanks for your response, I can see some port being denied, but smtp service in not added in the watchgaurd Policy Manager.

Could that be the problem?

I see Port 4111, 4110 being denied

yes I would first try to add a filtered SMTP rule for your email server.

port 4111 and 4110 are not typical ports

you will need to add your email servers external and internal IP in incoming to rule as well as your outgoing from. both will be to any
 
4111 and 4110 are used by watchguard devices to communicate or connect from machenes through the WFS.
So you may not be able to allow these ports through firewall. If there is any chance only level 2 can help you with that...
