Anyone seen this before? I have a filesystem backup of a client which fails from the server side with

"Warning - the job output is NULL " or "Warning - the ss output is NULL "

Client initiated backups work but server side fail.

Probably it is a good idea to know some more details than just these 3 lines.

If the manual backups work, it should not really be an issue to run a backup.

I agree. It shouldn't be an issue. However, the server initiated backup doesn't work with the return being a probe abandoned and the error message above. A debugged output of the save doesn't give a lot more info other than to say that the job output is null.

Believe me I wish there was more to go on but that's it. It's happened for a number of different clients.

If this worked before, i assume that this is not a client but a server problem. Did zou restart the daemons?

Yeah. It doesn't matter, I thought someone may have seen this before. Perhaps its a versions issue. Thanks

Hi,
please check your "servers" file. If you have some entries, delete them and restart the nsrexecd.

type rpcinfo -p <nameOfClient> on your backupserver.
maybe som ports are suppressed due to a firewall ?
