I am getting the following error message when using forms connected to a database.

Warning: Page has Expired
The page you requested was created using information you submitted in a form. This page is no longer available. As a security precaution, Internet Explorer does not automatically resubmit your information for you.

To resubmit your information and view this Web page, click the Refresh button.

I have have checked the Microsoft Site and their solution does not work (Surprise!Surprise!). I have also trawled the web and alot of people have identified this problem but no one seems to know how to solve it.

Can anyone advise me what to do.

The browser used is IE6 SP1.
I have also tried IE5 and IE5.5 but this made no difference.

Try change the setting under TOOLS - INTERNET OPTIONS - GENERAL - SETTINGS to "Every Time You Start Internet Explorer" joegz
"Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Uncheck Do not save encrypted pages to disk
Uncheck Warn if forms submittal is being redirected

Just in case anyone was interested.

I eventually solved the problem.
I deleted all the file in the temporary internet files folder.
I created a new folder called C:\tempinfiles
I then redirected the the location of the Temporary Internet Files Folders to this new folder

Thanks likelylad,

This problem was driving me crazy (I downloaded the latest service pack etc) and your post got me to thinking. I only did the first part of your fix - I deleted the temporary internet files (Tools - Internet Options - General - Delete Files) and this fixed the problem. I suspect the problem is the amount of disk space that is allocated to saving temporary internet files, and either deleting the files in the temporary internet files folder, or increasing the amount of disk space allocated to the folder, will work . I think your redirecting your Temp Internet Files to a new folder will only be a temporary fix (no pun intended)and the problem will reappear; because after you do a lot of internet surfing your new folder (c:\tempinfiles) will again fill to capacity and the problem will reoccur.

Oh, I'm sorry but I've tried the resolution provided and it didn't work.
Same thing's happening in Netscape 4.#

Regards

Hello all,

Xodarapa's solution worked great. All you have to do is delete the temporary internet files and it works fine. Appreciate all the help.

Congratulations: Tried everything but the only thing that worked was simply deleting those Temporary Internet Files:)

Just would like a bit of recognition for helping alot of people

Enough whining....plenty of us solve LOTS of problems with no kudos. That's not why we're (and hopefully...you're) in it. If I had a star for every fix I've doled out, I'd be bloated. Get used to it. Take the "star" graciously when it's given to you, but deal with it when someone doesn't follow-through. Begging for stars is frowned upon in the forums and is quite frankly poor form.
