As in one of the other threads about Java taking a long time to load. Be aware that this latest update stops you from accessing any BCM site in Element Manager.

The previous update of Version 8 issue 66 is OK. You can download the older version after uninstalling the issue 71 first. You don't need to reboot your computer.

#############################################################

The latest Java update (Version 8 Update 71) on which I made the mistake of doing on two computers running Windows 7 and 10 at 32 bit has caused Element Manager to deny me access onto any BCM sites.

I found this link
which took me to where I was able to download the previous release of Version 8 update 66.

Hopefully, you should be able to download this previous release.
I had to log in and create a free account before I could obtain it.

Just to say that all is OK now. Please don't update above release 66.

Thank you Firebirdscrambler..

I will add this to the memory banks.

Star for all your great work..you and Curlycord seem to be the the few left still heavily involved in BCM.

...too old for the new stuff lol.

Here is the thread for detailed troubleshooting and a couple tips:

What we could use is somebody to put in a ticket with Avaya....I am sure some took on a warranty to 2018?

I all of the sudden can't access any BCM.

I checked my Java and I am at Version 8 Update 66 which I believe is said to be okay.

Any other ideas?? Going insane over here.

I had problems with 8 66 as well.

Not sure if anyone else has tried recently but the links above would not take me directly to the website (2 different browsers). It took a few more screens to get to, but I've found the 8u66 here.
I've just started having this issue with a 450 and 5 remote bcm 50's. We cannot reach any of them and am hoping this java downgrade will help.

Thanks for this thread and the associated ones!

That did it, I am able to connect to all systems.
Thanks, again.

Stupid java & their 3 billion devices.

I just updated to give it a whirl and it let me right in. I may regret it at some point though.

Thanks Brian

I don't have access to report this problem to Avaya, does anyone on this forum have the facility to raise a case please to report this problem as I don't see it being fixed for a while.

Number1 whats your operating system? I'm using 8.1 and what's weird is I can log into the port 1 but can't use the maintenance port and that's using 8.66

Avaya would have to put out a new Desktop update to accept anything higher that 8.66 and since they have stopped support as far as writing patches etc. I would keep a copy of 8.66 saved somewhere where you can always get your hands on it.

Has Avaya have stopped support? I understood they would support BCM until l2018?
Surely that means they need to support Business Element manager on later Java versions?
