I have a satellite internet connection at my house. I have 1 wap11 2.8 with repeater mode and 2 wap11 2.2's without repeater mode. Is there any way to hack the 2.2's and get them to allow repeater mode?

I want to get my internet connection to the neighbor's home for use with a laptop.

I have one set up for an external antenna that I have not installed yet, but I am not sure that the wap's I have here will allow me to do what I wanted to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

Any "hacks" I have seen require the ATMEL chipset; unfortunately the WAP11 2.2 is the only version that used a chipset from TI instead.

OK now I have another question.

I now have 2 wap11's (v2.8). One wired at my house to my netgear router in access point mode. The other one is at the neighbor's house set to repeater mode with the mac address of the access point at my house.

I can ping the "repeater" wap and get to the setup page, but I have yet to get a link light. I also do not see it listed in the router set up page as an attached device.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
