Want to get date as dd-mm-yyyy format

I am building a small app in vb and backend as access 2000.
Where I am displaying date in a textbox. Date format i want to save is dd-mm-yyyy . is it possible with access ?

I gather you want to save a date as a text string?

Yourstring = format(yourDate,”dd-mm-yyyy”).

select your table.

in the design mode. put the format dd-mm-yyyy

you can find this in the general tab
