Hi,

I have a drawing and there is an ellipse on the plan view.
I want to show that ellipse on an isometric view. Drawing an Isocircle does not do it.

Perhaps it has to be done in 3D?
I'm using LT2002.

Many thanks,
Scott

Grid must be in isometric snap.
Ellipse > isocircle.
Try toggling F5 for left, right, top.

Thanks Flores,

The thing is, Isocircle draws an ellipse that represents a 2D circle.

My problem is my 2D plan view shows an ellipse, and I don't know how to develop that onto an Isometric.

Thankyou,
Scott

I see now... you don't want to draw a circle in isometric view, you want to draw an ellipse in iometric view. Try this: Open a new drawing and create the ellipse in 2d then extrude it. Next, go to a layout and make a viewport and make it southwest-isometric. Next you can use "solprof" to make a 2D drawing of it. Use change space (chspace) from the Express Tools to bring the 2D from model space to paper space. Copy and paste this 2D onto your isometric drawing.

I've just tried your suggestion and it seems that LT doesn't have the SOLPROF command.

I'll try installing the LT-Extender program and see if that works.

Many thanks Flores,

Scott

Just so you know, I tried what you said.

I created the ellipse in 3D, extruded it and changed to a southwest isometric viewport.

I then exploded it and was left with a REGION, so I exploded again and got the iso-ellipse that I wanted.

Thankyou,
Scott
