Want to confirm that when MerMail Auto Attendant transfers an external call to an extention, it is then like Norstar, treated by the system as an Internal call?
Hello.. Meridian Mail transfers a call to an extension in the same manner as an extension would transfer an external call to another extension.
If you look at the mail agent TNs you will see that they are programmed with a secondary DN, transfer and conference keys. Colin
Colin,
OK. I guess that would be a yes to the question? I am trying to draw a parralell to the end result of a Norstar AA and a MM AA. Norstar AA and ext transfers become internal calls for call direction purposes. Same for MM?
I don't beleive so - MerMail uses blind tranfer therfore keeping the external call appearance. If you have internal and external hunt and fdn to the transfered station call should go to external hunt/fdn destination
