Want to add an additional monitor to duplicate to my Dell Latitude 610

I have a additional external monitor connected to my laptop (Dell Latitude 610), is there a way to make sure my additional monitor duplicates that one i have on my laptop ? .
I can only get it to increase my desktop area, i need it to duplicate my screen.
please help.

Try asking this in the OS forums as this is a software setting in most cases.

This is working now. I just had to set some options from the display "graphic menu", that you get once you right click on the desktop.
