Can anyone provide a way to light the message waiting indicator on multiple sets (3903s & 3904s) when a message is left in one mailbox?
I've tried using a distribution list (no lights).
I have an 11c (rel. 25.30) and full Meridian Mail (rel. 13)
Thanks.

As far as I know it's not possible to have MWI on multiple sets.

don't sound do-able, might play with remote notification and make that work, but haven't had that request "yet"

On the mailbox you want to send the light look for message waiting indication dn's and enter what phones you want lit.

maybe Remote Message Waiting Indicator is what you're looking for. This allows remote sets to have a message indicator for a particular mailbox. When a new message arrives to the monitored mailbox, the message waiting indication is sent to the remote message waiting key on the remote set (I don't know if this can be programmed on more than one set). if this sounds like what you're looking for I'll try to get more info for you.

Am I reading the post wrong? Isn't this the solution.

Haven't had any success entering multiple DNs or putting the number as an extension... but perhaps there is a magic seperator that I'm not aware of?

did you try adding them to the message waiting indication dn's prompt in the mermail voicemail box? Not as an extension or multiple dn.

Nortellian what RLS are you running because I don't see it in RLS 11. I think that was out for RLS 13.

How about using the XMWK (Extended Message Waiting Key), syntax:
Key xx XMWK yyyy zzzz
xx - key number, yyyy - message centre dn, zzzz - dn to monitor state of?

do these sets that you want to get the message indicator for have the same exts or different exts? If they're the same exts on all the sets i think fonechick's answer will work. If they're different exts I think remote message waiting indicator will help you.

in the original post user says they are running rel. 13. I'm running release 13 also.

the PBX software is rls. 25.30, which should be high enough to support extended/remote message waiting notification. I don't think the release of the mail is relevant to what user is trying to accomplish. User's PBX software release should allow him to set up mutliple message waiting indicators for one mailbox on more than one phone, or remote message waiting indicator for a phone that needs to light when a different phone gets voicemail.

Sorry I missed that, that's what happens when I try to multi task.......

What FoneChick wrote is correct - except that the DN MUST appear on the phone you're trying to add this to.
