Hello Everyone,
I am currently having slowness issues with users that are accessing our ERP system (JD Edwards) via Citrix (1.8 Farm on Windows 2000) over a full T1. The slowness occurs in many different situations but for example when users tab across multiple fields in a particular form or when they are typing inside JD Edwards there is a delay or a stutter (for a lack of better term) with the way the screens refresh. Based on some analysis we did on the circuit we were seeing way too many very small packets. The packets coming from the host were in the range of 64 to 72 bytes (for the ones we saw); the acknowledgements coming back from this side are 60 bytes. At this rate, for every byte of data that is actually being transferred there are about 12 to 30 bytes of pure overhead associated with trying to get the byte from one end to the other.
Is this activity normal and has any has this type a latency issue before?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Dave
