WAN port on CXi..

Forgive me if this seems a stupid question, I've been out of the Mitel game for a good few years...

We have the mitel on a separate voice network using 192.168.1.x subnet.

We also have a data network using 192.168.24.x

Can I plug a cable from the WAN port on the CXi to a spare port on our data network to allow the controller internet access? (we do have DHCP on the data network) - if so I presume this would work for AMC licence updates but what about emailing voicemail messages etc?

Again, sorry if this sounds dumb!

you need to configure a port on the switch with an access to both ( Vlan voice + Vlan data ). put the gateway ip adress in the mitel LAN form. and plug the LAN Mitel port in the new port on the switch.

note that when you do the last step all phones will be off for about 1 to 2 min.
